How do I export scores or mastery levels to a gradebook?
Using the GradeCam Plugin browser extension, you can export student assessment scores or mastery levels from a Mastery Connect tracker to an external, online gradebook. You can export standard mastery levels, or you can export raw scores, mastery levels, or percentages for a specific multi-standard assessment or a single-standard assessment.
Notes:
- Before exporting, you must open both Mastery Connect and your gradebook in separate browser windows.
- Before exporting, make sure your students are listed in the same order in the tracker as in your gradebook, whether that is by name or student ID number.
- If you do not have the GradeCam Plugin browser extension installed, you can install it during the export process.
- You cannot use the instructions here to export to the Canvas Gradebook.
Open Tracker
In the Global Navigation menu, click the Trackers tab [1] and click the tracker name link [2].
Export Standard Mastery Levels
In the Students tab [1] of the Tracker View page, you can export mastery levels for a standard. Hover the cursor over the standard name [2] and select the Export Mastery option [3].
Export Multi-Standard Assessment Scores or Mastery
In the Tracker View page, you can export scores, mastery levels, or percents for all the standards in a multi-standard assessment. Hover the cursor over the assessment title [1], and click the Export Scores link [2].
Note: You can also export scores for individual standards in a multi-standard assessment. Click the assessment title [1]. Then in the Assessment Details page, hover the cursor over any individual standard, and click the Export Scores link.
Export Single-Standard Assessment Scores or Mastery
To export the scores for a single-standard assessment, first open the Standard Details page. In the Tracker View page, click the name of a standard.
In the Students tab [1] of the Standard Details page, hover the cursor over the assessment title [2], and click the Export Scores link [3].
Install Gradecam Extension
If you do not have the GradeCam browser extension, an installation window displays. To install the GradeCam extension, click the GradeCam Installation Wizard button [1].
The GradeCam Extension page opens. To add the extension to your browser, follow the instructions on the screen.
Notes:
- If you are using an Avermedia or Elmo camera, learn about GradeCam installation for Aver cameras or Elmo cameras.
- To disable exporting scores via the GradeCam extension, click the disable exporting & don't show this again link [2].
Follow Export Instructions
If you are exporting scores, you can export raw scores, mastery levels, or percentages. Select the Scores, Mastery, or Percent radio button [1].
If you are exporting only mastery levels, only mastery levels will export [2].
Your scores are now copied to the clipboard. To paste them into your gradebook, follow Export window instructions.
Open your gradebook in an additional browser window. Click in the first scoring field of your gradebook. Then press the Control+V keys simultaneously (on a PC keyboard) or Command+V keys simultaneously (on a Mac keyboard). Alternatively, you can select paste from your gradebook menu.
Notes:
- Make sure your students are listed in the same order as your gradebook, whether by name or by student ID.
- You can also paste scores or mastery levels into any spreadsheet, rather than into a gradebook.
- If you are using macOS Mojave, you will need to provide access to Chrome. Open System Preferences, then navigate to Security & Privacy. Click the Privacy tab, then select Accessibility. Make sure the box next to Google Chrome is checked. If you don't see Chrome on the list, click the + button, click Google Chrome, and click the Open button. Then, refresh your browser and try again.
