What information should I know about the start and end of the school year as a teacher?
The following lesson answers frequently asked questions and provides best practices for Mastery Connect teachers at the end and start of the school year.
For questions that are not addressed below, we recommend that you visit the Mastery Connect Help Center and Online Professional Development (PD). You can find both under the Help icon in the Global Navigation menu in Mastery Connect.
Note: To access the Online PD, you must first log in to Mastery Connect.
School Year Tracker Archive Date
At the end of the school year, trackers are archived automatically on July 1.
Note: If you have questions or need to alter the end of year roll over date please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Curriculum Maps
You can use curriculum maps from year to year.
You can update your curriculum map to reflect your most current teaching, or create a curriculum map from a tracker to use for next year.
Curriculum maps can be updated at any time. You can add assessments, notes, or additional standards. Once you've made updates, you can create a tracker from a curriculum map.
Update Assessments
You can update or edit any of the assessments for using again the next year. If it is an assessment you originally created, edit the assessment to make your changes.
If the assessment was created by someone else, you can clone the assessment and then add to it to a tracker or make your own changes.
Add Students to a Tracker for the New School Year
All trackers created as of July 1 are applied to the new school year.
You can import students from a SIS to your trackers or you can add them manually.
Note: If you do not see your new students (or new sections, if you are syncing via Clever), contact your IT Administrator.
Access Student Data from a Previous Year
To see student mastery of the previous year's standards, you can view student data from a previous school year.
