How do I generate a new test ID in the Mastery Connect Teacher app?
On June 27, 2024, the Mastery Connect Teacher and Student mobile apps will be discontinued. There will be no further app updates and functionality will no longer be guaranteed. It is recommended that educators and students remove these apps from their devices and connect via their web browser or the Canvas mobile app.

As a teacher, you can generate a new test ID in the Mastery Connect Teacher app on an iOS mobile device. For students to take an assessment, the assessment must have a test ID. If an assessment has no test ID or you need a new one, you can generate a new test ID. You can also generate a new test ID if one has expired.
Notes:
- New test IDs are automatically set to expire in seven days.
- By default, test IDs expire after seven days. However, you can change the expiration date.
- Generating a new test ID is only available on iOS devices.
- The images shown in this lesson are from an iPhone. Other iOS interfaces may have slight differences, but have the same functionality unless otherwise noted.
Open Assessments
Tap the Assessments button.
Open Assessment
Tap an assessment name.
Open Test ID
If a test ID is expired, tap the ID: Expired link.
If the assessment has no ID or you need a new one, tap the ID link [1].
Then, tap the Generate New button [2].
View Test ID
View the new test ID [1].
The test ID is automatically set to expire in seven days [2]. To make the assessment available for a longer or shorter period, you can change the expiration date.
