Creating Conditional Steps in a Workflow
Conditional steps can be used when Reviewers or steps that need to be assigned are dependent on the product or the information submitted by the Requester. Use Conditions to skip or add steps when necessary.
Apply a condition to a step
Any step of a workflow can be made conditional by clicking on the three-dot menu in the right hand corner of the step.
There are a few different conditions that can be used to trigger the step to run. If the condition is not met, the step will be skipped. Tags and Statuses are common conditions used to enable a step to run. Conditions can be grouped to apply multiple conditions
Add Conditions: This Step will only be run if:
Product has/does not have tag "Math"
Product has/does not have status "Reviewed & Denied"
Conditions can be grouped to apply Multiple Conditions: This Step will only run if:
All/Any/None/Not All of the following are true:
Product does not have status "Reviewed & Denied"
Product has tag "Needs ELA Review"

How are conditions applied to products?
LearnPlatform Admin can add tags or update statuses to products that are in the Organization's Library. Many times the first step in the workflow is for a LearnPlatform Admin to review the product and request form that was submitted, and then apply any necessary tags and/or statuses to pull in the right mix of reviewers for each specific product. Once the tags and/or statuses have been applied, the first step is marked complete, and the workflow will continue to the next step.
Note: Creating a custom column in the Admin Library for conditional workflow steps will make it easier to apply tags to products.
Conditional Steps in a in-progress/completed workflow
LearnPlatform Admin can see what conditional steps were skipped during a workflow. Use the toggle on the left side to show which steps were skipped. Steps are either skipped because they are conditional or a LearnPlatform Admin manually skips a step.
