How do I create a curriculum map on a new mastery scale?

If your school or district changes the point value of your mastery scale, you may need to update your curriculum maps. To use a curriculum map with a tracker, all assessments in the curriculum map must have mastery scales that match the curriculum map. The assessments must be realigned to the new mastery scale, and you will need to create new curriculum maps using your old maps as guides.

Notes:

  • This is a district-only feature.
  • Only the author of a district-approved curriculum map can edit it.
  • District-approved curriculum maps cannot be copied.
  • If you copy a curriculum map, it will create a copy using the same scale. You will not be able to convert the curriculum map to a new scale.

You can use this original map as a resource in building a new curriculum map with an updated mastery scale.

Note: If you copy a curriculum map, it will create a copy that uses the same mastery scale as the original. You will not be able to convert the curriculum map to a new scale.

Open New Browser Window

In the Global Navigation Menu, click the Maps link [1], then click the Add a Curriculum Map button [2].

Create new map

Create your new curriculum map. It automatically aligns to the mastery scale your school or district is currently using.

Use your original curriculum map as a reference while you build your new map's units, standards, resource pins, and assessments. You will need to copy and update each assessment to match the new mastery scale.
