I am trying to conduct peer evaluations thru canvas quizzes. This means making a quiz for each presenter and assigning it to every student but themselves (self-evals are a different quiz). Is there a simple way to take the one quiz I've made and turn it into 14 quizzes where I only need to edit the title and who it is assigned to? I have seen that there is a way to duplicate once but I don't want to overwrite any of the data because I will need all 14 sets of quizzes. Or do I just have to create 14 unique quizzes?
You can follow these steps - https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-copy-a-quiz-to-another-course/ta-p/1083 - but select the course you are copying from. This will allow you to make a copy of the quiz in the same course. You can rename it so you know what evaluation it's for. You can do this as many times as you would like.
We've had issues using this method (while it can work, it has also resulted in errors). Canvas Support has indicated Copy To... is not really intended to duplicate Classic Quizzes. Instead they recommend using the Export Quiz option. You can then Import the Canvas Export Package file (as many times as you need), avoiding the issues with the Copy To... option.
