Admin added - not receving invite

I've added a new admin to my site, yet they are not receiving the invite. How can I resolve this? Can I manually send them the invite to the whole site instead of invites to individual courses?

Hi @CraigEllis -- when you say Admin, do you mean a Principal?  Or do you mean Canvas Admin Role with Canvas Admin Permissions?  when you say you invited them to your Site -- do you mane your Canvas Course?  Or do you mean your Canvas Account/instance?

Without a little more clarity, I might suggest checking that you are using the correct Username / Email address to add them.  I've added folks as Canvas Admins only to realize the reason they didn't have permissions/access was because I used the wrong email address.

For clarity I mean adding a Canvas Admin Role with Canvas Admin Permissions to the Canvas Account/instance. I am getting the expected "1 user added" message and can see the users profile my 'Account Admins' list, yet they are not receiving the invite from Canvas.

I know the email address is correct because I have successfully added the same to another Canvas Account, and am at a loss why the same email will not generate an invite for this Canvas Account.

Hi @CraigEllis,

I'd try adding the user to your Canvas instance first, which should trigger account/password creation depending on your auth settings.  Then once you confirm the user can login to your instance, you could add them as an admin (there is no "invitation" to accept for admins, becoming an admin just happens instantly when the user is added as an admin.
