I have an assignment in which I use a rubric for scoring. A student showed me that when she views her submission on her iPhone, the rubric criterion is an outdated one that I used several semesters ago. When she uses a computer, she sees the criterion that I entered and intended.
It seems as though the process of importing assignments from one class to another has resulted in old information lingering somehow, but it only shows up in the mobile version of Canvas. Maybe only in iOS?
Can anyone shed light on this problem? Is creating a new assignment the only way to fix it?

Hello @cam47
Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with viewing a rubric on the mobile student app. If the rubric appears correctly on a browser, but doesn't work on the app they should clear their cache on the iPhone.
That should absolutely resolve it. If it doesn't, have the student delete the app entirely and re-download.

@greydon -
For that to be the case, wouldn't the student have to have had access to the outdated rubric in some fashion? Either @cam47 had the old rubric on the assignment, the student viewed the assignment and then cam47 changed the rubric?
If the student first accessed the assignment when it had the correct rubric attached, then clearing the cache on the app should not be the fix - or it may be the fix, but still an issue as to how the old rubric showed up in the first place.
Hi @greydon and @Ron_Bowman
thanks for your responses. I think Ron is right. The rubric has been the same all semester, I didn't change it. My best guess is that when I imported the assignment, some older code was tagging along and didn't get updated. This probably happened in a previous semester, because I didn't make the change in the rubric this semester OR the last time I taught the class in Fall 2021. it's weird, right?
