The URL course site hides these deleted replies, but the app doesn't so it looks very unnecessarily cluttered. Anyone know how to remove these completely from the app? thanks!
update to this- I received the below kind and understandable response from Canvas support. Accordingly, if anyone else would like to see the app cleaned up a bit from replies intended to be deleted and removed from view, please comment or add support for this request. I think this tweak would add to a sense of community trust and encouragement and also individual agency. Thank you!
Thank you for contacting Canvas support! I understand you have many deleted replies showing up on the discussion on the app as "deleted". I looked into this, but at the moment there isn't a way to hide them on the app. They can only be hidden on the browser. I apologize for the inconvenience it's causing with having to scroll past the deleted replies. You can create a post on the Canvas Ideas page or look through existing posts to see if any already suggest adding that "hide" option to the app.
Our engineers take into account the ideas with the most support or interactions when deciding on updates for Canvas.
Unfortunately, their ideas page is currently frozen. Apparently the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at corporate HQ.
Thanks for responding, gnoack! I am new to this question area. And as I think about my request, it makes sense not only for visual/professional reasons but also to foster trust with partners and participants. I appreciate your reply and any additional help with this.
You both may have already seen this, but here's a link with more information on the temporary lock-down of Feature Ideas. Sounds like we'll need to wait until the beginning of February for things to re-open after things are re-organized.
