Whenever I open canvas it is completely fine until i press the calendar icon. Nothing is responding, it is basically frozen. I tried reinstalling and restarting my iPad. I am using an iPad and using Canvas Student.

The first step I would recommend would be chadscott's suggestion. We have some guides on how to clear your cache and cookies, depending on the browser

If you have done this, and are still seeing the problem, I would suggest switching browsers. Canvas Support generally recommends Chrome or Firefox. While Safari is also supported, that browser can run into issues with different aspects in Canvas. Please, also make sure your browser is up to date.
Secondly, I would also suggest Oliver69's idea for turning off calendars that you no longer need to view. If you are still seeing problems with the Calendar after these steps, I would recommend contacting Support.

Clearing the Mobile App Cache on an iOS device
Another thing you can try is go to to Canvas in the browser and toggle off all your calendars except the one you need - you may have too many items showing and it's timing out the page.

In addition to Chad's advice, which clears your user cache, I might suggest you delete the app from Settings on your iPad. When you delete the app from your home screen, it just removes the app, but leaves behind all your user data. To completely remove the app and it's data from your device you will need to do it in the device's settings.
Then reinstall and try again.
If this doesn't work, the next suggestion is to reach out to your local support to investigate your specific device.
