Canvas assignment linked to standard

I am the Canvas/Mastery Admin at my district. I have some teachers who are able to link a standard to an assignment they created in Canvas but other teachers are not able to link those standards. They can see the standards box at the bottom of the screen and can select a standard but once they click save, the standard disappears. 

I know they can convert quizzes in Canvas to Mastery but that will not work with all assignments they have. And they would like to be able to link those standards to the assignment/quiz directly in Canvas.

In order for teachers to use this feature they have to have a tracker connected to that course. All teachers will see that option, but only those that have an active mastery connect tracker tied to that course will be able to align the standards.
