reverting zeros in the gradebook back to hyphens

I put zeros in for students on an assignment that was not due yet and want to revert them back to hyphens but when I try it says that it is an invalid grade. Is there anyway to remove the zeros?

I understand that you put in some Zeros for students grades on accident and you need to revert the zeros back to the hyphen. 

You can do this, but you would have to do it one at a time in the gradebook. You would just simply click on the grade entered in the gradebook for the student. it should highlight the grade. From there you can just hit the delete key on your keyboard and it will remove the score entered, reverting it back to the hyphen. You can then go on to the next student and remove the grade.
