I assigned a quiz to be completed during the holiday. But none of the students can open it.
On my end, it is definitely published.
Why do they see this error message?
Hello @DL_dekalb
Thanks for posting this in the Canvas Community!
I understand students are getting a message saying that the assignment is part of an unpublished module and it not available yet. This typically happens if you have shared the assignment into a module on the modules page and the module the assignment is within is not published.
To correct this you can go to the modules page, locate the assignment and publish the module it is part of. Once published students can try to access the assignment again and should no longer run into this issue
HERE is the Canvas guide on publishing a module.
Hopefully this helps!

@DL_dekalb ...
Thank you for sharing that additional screen shot. Actually, your module is *not* published. When I looked at your screen shot, the "Evolution and Natural Selection Questions" quiz (with the green rocket icon) is published. But, if you look at the title of your module...which has the same name right above it...it's not published. You need to publish the module as well, and that should fix the issue.
How do I publish or unpublish a module as an instructor?
Hope this helps a bit! Sing out if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
That may have done it.
I'm waiting for feedback from students to find out if they have gained access.
Thanks!
@DL_dekalb ...
You can always try making sure that things work by using your Test Student account in the course...so that you don't have to wait for student feedback...though actual student feedback is never a bad thing.
How do I view a course as a test student using Student View?
