I understand that the free for teacher course storage limit is 500mb, but do student submitted assignments and files count toward that limit?
If an assignment requires a video submission, lets say 100mb and 10 students submit, that would exceed 500mb easily.

Hello @USMA-Samuel-Lee
Thanks for posting this in the Global Canvas Community!
What I found is that students submissions do not count towards this course storage limit. If the students are submitting to a non-graded discussion, their submission go towards their own personal user storage limit. If the students are submitting to a graded items, those files don't count towards their own or the course storage limit. However, there are size limits for the student’s submissions. Canvas does not support file uploads larger than 5 GB. For media uploads, Canvas will not accept media uploads larger than 500 MB
HERE is some documentation I found on this.
Hopefully this helps!
