For all assignments/quizzes in my course, when I use the left-hand corner eye icon in speedgrader to post student marks I am receiving a message that says "There was a problem posting assignment marks.". I have absolutely no idea why this is and there is no information to further diagnose the problem other than this message. Each quiz is automatically graded and the quiz has been set so that students should see their results immediately, but this is not the case.
In markbook settings, the markbook posting policy options are completely greyed out. Furthermore, the settings under each assessment item do not have the option to post or hide grades available (see image).
Hello @LachlanBROWN
I am sorry you are running into this behavior.
If you are seeing it on assignments, do you know if you are using the moderated grading function at all? I know sometimes this can result in that specific error message. it usually indicates that final mark has not been determined in the moderation page.
For quizzes, the only thing I can think of is that one of the graded questions requires manual marking attention...
I don't suspect that this is the cause, but that error can also pop up if you are marking items in a closed marking period or a closed course. Marking periods are generally used in K-12 instances.
