How do I recommend for development a change to the save button in new quizzes? Having a save button do ANYTHING other than return you to your CURRENT page is frustrating. (not to mention I have never seen any save button in any UI behave this way.)
That button needs a new name or needs to NOT kick you out.
I do not see this on the roadmap for new quizzes, but I would like to elevate this request.

Hello there, @rmaughan ...
I see you asked a question earlier about how to create a new idea here in the Community, so I'll paste my response I gave you there to this discussion topic as well:
All the Guides for creating new Ideas here in the Community can be found under the heading "Ideas and Themes" at this location:
Instructure Community Guide - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
You can go to this page and click on the blue "View and Submit Ideas" button:
Canvas Ideas and Themes - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
Then, on the next page, click on the blue "Submit an Idea" button.
When you create your idea, it will search for existing similar ideas already submitted (in which case, you wouldn't need to re-submit). Hopefully this information will get you started on the right path.

I've noticed that too, @rmaughan, and @Chris_Hofer has the right idea. I suggest writing your request to say that the Return button should take the user back to the page they were at prior to entering Build mode. It can be a variety of places - Settings page for the same New Quiz, the Quizzes page, the Assignments page, the Modules page, etc.
