New Quizzes: Allow Students to Review Incorrect Quiz Questions Once While in Controlled Environment

Instructor wants students to see the test questions that they got wrong directly after they take their test and are sitting in the room.  If quiz is opened it does not close after the test time completed, students are able to see the test for several days after.  Is there a way to open the test so that they can see what they got wrong immediately after they take the test in our controlled environment (1 time) and have it closed to students after that

Canvas Support did not have an adequate solution. Does anyone have a way to do this?

Hello @bsaar

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. You want your students to be in a controlled environment i.e. proctored room or something similar and take the test. Then, you want the students to immediately see their quiz results only while in the room and not have access after they leave? The only way to do this is manually. Canvas doesn't know when or where the students are. You can use the available from-until dates as windows of accessibility. You can also use the "show correct answers at" feature to either immediately show results or release at a certain date. You essentially are looking for the opposite - show them the correct answers until a certain date or time and Canvas doesn't have this. You'd need to manually be adjusting these dates for the students which may prove difficult if they all take them at different times. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for but hopefully it helps.

Feel free to check out our Ideas and Theme forum as Canvas implements great ideas such as this that they find within the community.
