We just shifted quarters at our school at I went to add a time limit multiplier for a student who just received 1.5 ET accommodations and that option is no longer there. There is a mention now for students who already have ET that it is part of course level settings but I can't find it there. Anyone have this issue? Is it a system change or just my school?

Hi @marisa_m_delsav,
It looks like you're in the moderate area for a single quiz, which is slightly different form accommodations (which are for all new quizzes in a course). The accommodations is where you'll have the option for a time multiplier, since every quiz may be a different length. I do think the UI for this has had a recent change, so you may want to quickly review the How do I add accommodations for a student in New Q... - Instructure Community - 1092 guide for the current steps to add an accommodation for a student.
I'm going to mark this as the solution, but please feel free to come back and let us know if this doesn't actually answer your question.

The article you linked to, How do I add accommodations for a student in New Q... - Instructure Community - 1092 , seems to have been recently updated. This is a change in the workflow and very bad timing just before the end of the semester!
The way we used to add time was to go to Moderate in any quiz, select the pencil icon by a student's name, and select time multiplier. It would apply to all quizzes in the course.
The new workflow is to go to Moderate in any quiz, select the student's name, and select time multiplier. It will apply to all quizzes in the course.
This is the kind of small change that is frustrating and unnecessary.

Hello,
I am experiencing the same issue regarding the absence of multiplier accommodations in new quizzes as well. Is there a solution available for this problem? Currently, I am required to manually modify each assessment on Canvas every time I administer a test.
Unfortunately, the linked article does not offer a viable solution, as the feature it references is no longer available on the Canvas website in new quizzes.
Are there any alternative methods or updates to address this accommodation need efficiently? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.
Hi @StephanielynBlo,
Looking at your screenshot, it appears that you're clicking on the pencil icon on the far right of the student row, which is a slightly different area and only modifies things for the current quiz. The accommodation options are found by clicking the student's name (as shown in the guide you linked). When you click on the name, you should see the multiplier option, and also note that the option will apply to all quizzes in the course that were made within the New Quizzes system.
I hope this info helps!

This change was not communicated to instructional staff! How in the world would anyone know that?
