Whenever i try taking an exam using lockdown browser it takes me through the authentication steps correctly and then loads back to canvas where the begin exam button should be but it instead says "lockdown browser is required" with a link to the download even though I already have it downloaded and am using it. What should I do? I have the latest verion of ios on mac so I dont know if that's problem because last year this was never an issue for me.

Hi @SamAllen you might want to try and uninstall/reinstall the LockDown Browser. If it is outdated, you will experience problems. Here is a link to some Mac Support Guides for LockDown Browser.
Hi @SamAllen
The other thing to do is to be sure that you are getting to the test by first navigating to the course, then locating the test within the course. Jumping straight to the test from to-do or calendar links in the Canvas dashboard can lead to the kind of problem you describe.

Both @mzimmerman and @crafte provide good options for resolving your issue, @SamAllen. I'm replying to share I'm excited to learn that there is a Mac option for Respondus software! 🎉
