Testing out the Zoom LTI in Canvas and it's really great - but would love for students to be able to use it in Groups. Right now it's just BigBlueButton. Is there any way to replace that with the Zoom LTI instead of the BBB tool?
Edit: although you can assign a meeting to a canvas group as an instructor, you can't do it as a student, and even when you do it as an instructor, the link only goes out in an email - it's not on the calendar or accessible through the Zoom LTI page in Canvas. So. I guess this is moot unless Zoom updates that.

I'm curious...what is the purpose of wanting Zoom within Groups? Even though Zoom is integrated within your school's Canvas environment, Zoom doesn't really know what a Canvas course is...nor would it know what a group is. Could you, instead, use the breakout rooms/groups within Zoom when you have scheduled meetings? Just a thought.
using the Zoom LTI, it does know the groups now actually! You can schedule meetings with specific course groups and sections.

students can also schedule their own meetings if configured appropriately.
The only thing is students can create these meetings on the main zoom LTI, that they access in the overall course, and then their group members can click on the same thing and open the meeting. But this is not inside of the Canvas Groups home page. So, that is the small piece that would make this perfect.

Interesting. In my past role as a Canvas admin from a couple years ago, I was a Zoom admin as well. But, in my new role at a different college, I don't have Zoom admin access, so I haven't been as up-to-speed on some of the newer functionalities that Zoom has released. Thanks for sharing.
