I have an instructor who has an established group set, and students in the groups have started assignments, so she does not want them to change. Now she has several students added to the course late and would like to add two more groups to this set. If I add groups now and assign the new students to the new groups, will it disrupt the established groups in the set?

Hello @MaryJaneMurphyB
Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. The short answer is no - go right ahead and add them to the established group set it will not disrupt the other groups or other submissions and grades already posted. Once the other groups have been added and then the students added to their groups, they should be able to complete all of the assignments just as the already established students were able to. Hopefully this helps.
