HTML tags in comments

I am noticing on the iOS app that HTML tags are showing in the assignment comments. I assume this is because there were HTML tags from the rich text editor from the desktop Version of Canvas. It makes assignment comments difficult to read on the iOS app. Has anybody else experience this, and does anyone know if there is a fix scheduled?

I apologize that you are seeing some HTML tags on Assignment comments in Canvas.
I believe that this is actually related to a known issue that the engineers over at Canvas are working to correct.
If you haven't already, I would recommend reaching out to Canvas support to have them take a closer look at your example.
They might need to have you provide them with:
- A screenshot of the Assignment Comment displaying the HTML tags
- A link to the assignment the comment was left on.
