Course cannot be added until active

I keep trying to access the course I registered to at GTCC. It says enrolled as student and published but when I click the star I keep getting this message "Course cannot be added until active." I don't know what to do.

I understand that you are seeing some conflicting information about your upcoming course in Canvas. Let me try and clear this up for you! 🙂 

• This is intended behavior for when your instructor has published their course and made it available for you early as a student. They will generally do this so that you can check out the syllabus and any important info about the book they will be using throughout the term/semester.
• The reason you can't favorite the course quite yet is because it has not technically started in Canvas. Within each Canvas course, there is a defined Start and End date that is setup. It's worth noting that these parameters also control your participation in the course assignments, discussions and quizzes. 
• Once the defined Start date approaches, you can customize your courses list and favorite/Star the course.
