With the new quizzes an observer can't see which questions students got right and which ones they missed. This weakens the observers ability to help students learn. Please allow observers to see questions and answers of completed quizzes for the students they are monitoring.
Hi Melanie,
Thank you for reaching out to Canvas support. For observers who are attached to a specific student, they should have the same vision as that student. They wouldn't have more access to content than the student would, as we want them to mirror the student's visibility of the course.
If the teacher doesn't allow the correct or incorrect answers to be viewed, this would be the reason as to why observers can't see the correct or incorrect questions. If observers can't see the questions, but the student can, this would be something we would want Canvas Support to take a look into at that specific case to see why that's happening. You should be able to reach them via the "help" menu on the left hand side of Canvas.
The observer role may view classic quizzes but is prevented from seeing content developed through New Quizzes. Canvas has this feature slated for "discovery" in 2025.
