LearnPlatform Release Notes: November 2023 Recap
This month, we released additional functionality for the Request Workflows feature; added a comments section on district libraries; made updates to the Rapid Cycle Evaluation table; and released an accessibility enhancement.
Improvements to Request Workflows
Workflow Assignees can now be added by email address
Because it was difficult to locate some users by name in Workflow Assignees, users can now be searched by email address.
This also allows tasks to be assigned to users who do not have names captured in the system, only email addresses.
Typing an email address into the assignees or notification recipients bar will now populate any users that matches on name or email address.
Edit, stop or delete existing workflows
Customers now have more control over their decision making processes with new options to modify activated workflows:
- Edit the assignees for a current workflow task (released Oct 11)
- Remove all assignees for a current workflow step, to essentially “skip” the step if needed
- Stop a workflow, and apply a final status when a critical decision (i.e. lack of compliance with privacy policies) is made early in the vetting process
- Delete workflows that were used for testing (this does not preserve data, so should be used carefully)
Skipped steps hidden in Workflows reporting
Skipped steps are now hidden by default in workflow reporting. Users can toggle to see skipped steps if needed.
New Comments section for Organization Libraries
From Management>Product Details, administrators can now add Comments from the Organization to be presented to Educators in the org library, just like they can for Admin and PPL views.
Rapid Cycle Evaluation (RCE) Table Updates
Update ‘Results’ color coding
Colored circles in the Results column in the RCE Table have been updated to match what is indicated on the Overall Effect Size shown in the full evaluation report for consistency and easier at-a-glance interpretation.
New ‘District Name’ column
For our regional and state clearinghouse customers, a new column for ‘District Name’ has been added to the RCE table to help administrators more quickly find specific RCE reports and understand the district(s) involved.
Accessibility Enhancement: Skip to Content Link for Screen readers
To better support screen readers, there is now a “Skip to Content” link as the first tabbable element for keyboard only and screen readers. This helps a user quickly jump from the menu navigation to page content without having to tab through every menu item.
This update will have no impact on user experience when utilizing mouse navigation.
