Education + Entertainment = Edutainment.

Why is edutainment necessary?

Want to avoid students burning their computer.

To keep focus on what is to be learned.

If you get it right it is magical.

If we use social media right then student will share.

Content is not boring, presenters are.

How do we use Canvas to edutain?

1. Give course a human face
2. Include videos
3. Focus on activities not just teaching stuff
4. Have lots of variety

Have a fun discussion.
Please note that it was mentioned that ASS was a commonly acknowledged abbreviation for Assessments in Australia.

Next screen discusses the Chocolate and Assessments Methods.

Some fun activities that are then discussed as why they help understanding.

Given an unjumble then the answer with explaination of why teens are important.

Use a outside concept to overlay on what you are teach (ie flight plan for schedule)

Use a remembering quiz

Then screen explains what they are learning from the memory exercise.
