Standards Review Policy
Instructure understands that clients trust us to deliver high quality and accurate standards data through The Academic Benchmarks Standards Registry℠ used by the Elevate Standards Alignment system. Our clients understand the company’s efforts to maintain such quality. With over six million standards to date, the AB Standards Registry℠ maintains review and update practices that facilitate timely evaluation and revision or replacements of standards. This summary of the company’s support and maintenance policy is designed to help our clients better understand what standards are available in the AB Standards Registry℠, and the frequency of review and revision to maintain the standards. This review policy is a living document that the company will continue to update as client needs change and as Elevate Standards Alignment enhances services to meet those needs.
A team at the AB Standards Registry℠ reviews standards based on each Authority type, reviewing core subjects as frequently as monthly, and reviewing all supported standards groupings at least semi-annually. The team carefully researches the website(s) for each educational authority to verify that our data contains the most current standards. They contact the Authority directly as needed to clarify and further verify such information as adoption dates, implementation timelines, and application to alignments. Once the data from the website publications are entered, the team conducts thorough reviews of the content before files are readied for client use.

US and District of Columbia Standards
- Elevate Standards Alignment reviews the data files for the Core Four and Non-Core subjects monthly to determine if the Authorities have made changes or have adopted new standards.
- Elevate Standards Alignment reviews the data files for the Early Childhood standards quarterly.
Elevate Standards Alignment reviews the data files for Career and Technical Education in the states that are supported on a semi-annual basis.
International and Other National Standards
For all provinces in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and U.S. Holdings, Elevate Standards Alignment supports:
- Elevate Standards Alignment reviews standards files for Supported International and National authorities at least quarterly as needed to determine if the Authorities have made changes or have adopted new standards.
