Change Canvas Community Username

How do I change my Canvas Community username? I'm a student, and while I understand the Be You policy,  I don't my first and last name here, and previous posts about the subject didn't apply/were sometimes archived.

If you are unable to change your name in your profile settings, you may need to reach out to your Campus Canvas Admin and ask for help.  Search your Help button on your dashboard for this.

I saw in some other posts that someone could change your username for you and did. Even when I went through the profile settings/personal infromation change, it only altered the display name next to my avatar, but not my actual usename. I'll just close the account. If I decide to rejoin, hopefully I'll be able to choose a differerent username.

For other members who may find this post -- You can send me a DM (@KristinL) or you can email community@Instructure.com, and someone on our team will help you! Not all Community members have the ability to change their username, but as you rank up, you earn the ability to do so!
