Once my current class is over, will I still have access to my Canvas Studio videos?
I can't see any way to otherwise download them to my desktop or move them to my regular Canvas Profile files.
Please advise.
Thanks!

Hi @KevinShlosberg ...
I tried creating a video of my own in Canvas Studio. I went to "Create" >> "Studio Capture". Then, I recorded a short screen capture video. Once it was added to my Studio library, I clicked on the video to watch it. In the upper right-hand corner, there is a three-dot kebab icon. There are three options for me: "Share", "Download Media", and "Delete". Do you have the option to "Download Media"?
Hope this helps!
Hi @KevinShlosberg ...
Are you an instructor or a student?
Student.
@KevinShlosberg ...
Thanks for confirming. You might want to download your videos just so you have a copy of them. Put them on something like Dropbox.com or Google Drive. That way, you can access them as needed.
Thanks, Chris, but perhaps I wasn't clear.
I see no way to download or save them from Canvas Studio itself. Where is there an option for this?
@KevinShlosberg ...
Sorry for not quite understanding your question. This is really going to depend on what your instructor has configured for the videos in question. There are really about three kinds of videos that your instructor can add to Canvas Studio... videos from YouTube, videos from Vimeo, and videos that have been created by the instructor himself/herself. If the videos are coming from YouTube or Vimeo, you won't be able to download those to your computer. You'd have to know where those videos are located on the respective websites. If the videos were created by your instructor, there is a toggle switch that instructors can switch on/off to allow or not allow downloading of those videos. There is no toggle switch to allow downloading of YouTube or Vimeo videos. See the example screenshot under the heading "Resize Embedded Media" in this Guide: How do I embed Canvas Studio media in a Canvas cou... - Instructure Community - 1699.
I hope this helps to explain a bit how Canvas Studio works. If the videos were the instructor's own creation, you might try asking your instructor if he/she would be willing to allow the download option.
Sorry I don't have better news for you, but I hope this helps in some way.
Thanks, Chris. This is somewhat helpful.
But what about a fourth kind of video: one that I created myself using the Create > Screen Capture option?

Thanks again, Chris.
I'm not sure why I didn't see it before, but I see it now. Much appreciated, and thanks for your patience.
Cheers!
You're welcome, @KevinShlosberg! I'm glad you were able to find the option to download your video(s).
