Recording audio in Studio
When recording the web camera, no problems occur. However, when recording the screen capture the audio is in and out and the recording is garbled.
Working on a Mac, with Bluetooth headset that works fine in all other video/audio applications. I have toggle on/off BT and have disconnected and reconnected device.
Anyone else experiencing this difficulty? Open to suggestions to resolve.
Yes - exactly the same issue. Using airpods on an apple macbook pro. Have tried chrome and safari browsers. Audio is garbled on playback. Using the built in microphone sound is fine.
Same... anyone figure out a fix?
Having the same problem with an iMac running Big Sur. Will record very short, <10 second videos with no sound glitches. But, tried recording a syllabus video 2x's (15 and 18 minutes) and the sound on both was garbled. Tried with an external camera/mic combo, then system camera/mic. Very frustrated! Any advice?
Update, am using Google Chrome as browser. Will also try Firefox.
UPDATE: Tried in Firefox (had to redownload the studio app) but it recorded audio and video from the iMac system camera/mic OK for a 15 minute video. Go figure! Question is, should I redownload the studio app for Chrome?
Update 2:
Used Firefox to record an intro video (10 minutes). Same problems occurred as yesterday with Chrome - garbled audio, clean video. Did it 2x's as I switched from a logitech 4k camera/mic to iMac system camera/mic. Garbled audio for half the video, then no audio for second half. Have put in a Canvas helpdesk request. Getting very frustrated!
I just purchased a new Logitech 4k Camera as well. Same issue, garbled playback on ScreenCast-o-Matic, Studio Capture is fine? An older off brand camera works just fine. Were you able to resolve in Chrome? I'd like to use the newer camera.
