"Autogenerate" message to all students based on specific course criteria in New Analytics?

Hi,

and a quick question as to being able to automate this function? From my understanding of the info here, all of this is automated.
How do I send a message to all students based on specific course criteria in New Analytics?

So, how can I set this up to send a message that I have already written at my own designated times during the term? Kind of like the auto response for epost during vacation... but activated by dates on a calendar?

It would be nice to not have to go into it during the term and remind students at times.

Someone from the community might be able to correct me on this. But as far as I am aware of, there is not a way to Auto Generate messages to be sent out to students who Missed, scored within a certain range, or turned in their submission late. If you want to use New Analytics, you would have to manually do this anytime you need to send them a message based on that specific criteria. 

You can also message students from the gradebook, if you don't want to do it from New Analytics everytime. HERE is a guide on how to do that from the gradebook. The Criteria options are pretty similar when doing it from here. You can message students who

• Haven't submitted yet—students who haven't submitted the assignment, even if they have been manually awarded a grade.
• Haven't been graded—students whose assignments have not yet been graded (submitted or unsubmitted).
• Scored less than [point value]—students who earned a grade on their assignment less than X number of points.
• Scored more than [point value]—students who earned a grade on their assignment more than X number of points.

The only other option I could think of was using Announcements and delaying the post date if you need to have a reminder sent out to all students in the course. You won't be able to specify things such as: Students who haven't submitted, haven't been graded, scored less or more than. But it will send a notification and post an announcement for everyone in the course. HERE is a guide on how to do that if you are interested in that option.

and thank you for the reply. It is then, as I thought. We've looked through your suggestions, and this is what we want to avoid having to address during the term... With about 70 teachers and over 500 students, we want to try and have as much as possible automated.  We shall keep looking for possibilities though. Thanks again and wishing you a grand week.
