I'm the admin for Canvas at our school. We have 2 submission boxes for our mock exams for a specific subject. A student accidentally submitted Paper 1 into the Paper 2 submission area. I removed it from the wrong assignment and uploaded it to the correct one.
Unfortunately the submission area that is now empty, still displays the Ungraded submission icon in the gradebook. As we've had to do this for a few students in the 1 class, this is misleading the teacher and has become a frustration. Can anyone shed light on this? Is there somewhere in the back-end I need to remove the paper from permanently?
Using the icon info guide as reference, it should only be there if a submission is present.
