Hello, I'm a lecturer at 2 universities and I'm new to Canvas. I would like to export my course from one university into my canvas account at the other university (I teach the same course at both schools)...is this possible? thanks!

Hi @JeannieIchimura,
The page you screenshotted there is your user settings. You need to be in the course settings... Go to the course you want to save, then from the white menu on the left, click the settings link (it's usually the bottom item on the menu).

There are a couple of options you could consider. In the course that you would like to copy, click on Settings in the course navigation, then on the far right you can click the link to Export Course Content.
This will create a course package and save it to your computer. In the new course, click again on Settings in the course navigation and then click Import Course Content. Search for the course file on your computer and upload it.
Alternatively, you can export your course to Canvas Commons and then import it that way. Once again in the course Settings page, in the upper right corner is a link to share to commons.
thank you!!
Hi @JeannieIchimura,
Your screenshot appears to be from the course "home" page. You'll need to go to the settings page to find the "export" and "share to commons options".

thank you! Clearly I'm new to Canvas, LOL. This was very helpful.
Any advise on how to re-use my work in Canvas is appreciated.
Can I save it to a USB to upload in the future into Canvas or Brightspace?
Thank you.
