changing an assignment to a page

Hi Canvas folks!
I LOVE OUR PRODUCT!! Its the best. 

Okay can you tell me how to do this: 

Ive made some items assignments but want to change them to PAGES how do I do that? Im sure its super easy!    Can you help!>!>>!

Howdy  @pshivers ‌,

Love when folks are so enthusiastic! Hope all is well.

The easiest way to page an assignment content into a Page is to:

• Click on edit of your assignment.
• Click on the html editor icon.
• Click in the field, Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C (select all then copy).
• Create a new canvas Page.
• Click on the html editor icon.
• Click in the field, Ctrl+V (ie paste). Then click on the Save button (or Save & Publish).

Then of course, you can delete the old assignment if it is no longer needed. Hope that helps; let us know.

Hi, this isn't really a solution - its a work around that is ok for converting one page but its not so great when there are dozens of pages to convert.

I completely understand.  I see that Kristin responded to you in another thread [Solved: Change a Page to an Assignment - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)], and she linked to the following Feature Idea:

Currently, the Feature Idea process has been temporarily halted until the beginning of February 2023.  This includes creating new ideas, commenting on existing ideas, and giving star ratings to those existing ideas.  However, you can read through this blog entry for more info on the future of Feature Ideas:
