Hello,
I have rubrics from several classes and none are visible to students. The rubric section is not x out and is part of the normal course content, but it is not visible to students or to me when I am in the student view. Not sure how to resolve this.

Good morning, @JosephSchreiner ...
It's great that you figured out the answer to your original question! For those that are curious, the "Rubrics" course navigation button is only visible to instructors...not to students. Rubrics need to be attached to graded assignments, graded discussion topics, or graded quizzes in order for students to view them. Hope this will help a bit!
Hi there, @baldwinsh ...
I'm not sure if you are a Canvas administrator or not, but there is a recent thing that some of us have discovered related to two Feature Options that can be toggled on/off. One is "Assignment Enhancements - Student", and the other is "Enhanced Rubrics". If "Assignment Enhancements - Student" is disabled but the "Enhanced Rubrics" Feature Option is enabled, then you're going to get the results that you mentioned. However, if both of these Feature Options are enabled, then students will see the attached rubric.
I submitted a ticket about this yesterday (because I thought this might be a bug), so they are aware of the issue. As for their plans on a possible fix, I'm not exactly sure of that...or if this was intended behavior with these Feature Options.
If you are not a Canvas administrator at your school, I'd suggest that you reach out to your Canvas admin at your school or someone from your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education team. They would be able to tell you what they have set at the account level.
I hope this will be helpful in some way.
Disregard. I figured out the issue.
Thanks,

I also have this question. A course has an assignment with the rubric attached and marked to use the rubric for grading. But when I am in student view, I cannot see the rubric. I see it from Instructor view, but not Student view. What happened?

I am not a Canvas Administrator; I am a course designer. But I did find that the fix you came up with works. I had to turn off both the assignment enhancements - student and the rubric enhancements. We use blueprinted courses so turning off the setting in the blueprint and syncing it did not send the change to the associated child sections. We had to either tell instructors how to turn it off or turn it off ourselves. What we found was that having the settings on for either of these enhancements impacted instructor navigation and not just student navigation.
Thanks for sending in that help ticket! I hope that Canvas is able to fix this bug.
