Last year, I was able to use the [Control F] feature in Quizzes to locate specific items in a developed quiz. This allowed me to efficiently locate duplicate questions or make changes. That's no longer the case. While the [Control F} feature is still enabled, it does not recognize terms I'm certain are in the quiz.
Is anyone else having this issue? I'm hoping this can be reinstated.
I believe you might be using New Quizzes this year (the ones with a "Build" button you need to press to edit the questions), while last year you were using Classic Quizzes.
Indeed, control F does not seem to find words inside New Quizzes' questions while in the "build" page. It does work in the "preview" mode, so you can use that for searches.
Yes, I've been using New Quizzes since they've been available and was able to use the Control F feature last year in "build" mode.
It does work in the "preview" mode, but I'll need to remove the setting for student to answer "one question at a time" in order for it to apply to the entire quiz. I'm hoping this feature can be added in future updates.
I see, maybe there was some change in New Quizzes, but I'm not aware of it, I can only test the current version.
It looks like someone else noticed this same issue last July, though no one has replied: Ctrl F no longer working when building a quiz - Instructure Community - 618091
