Student email and log in email are different

I have a student that was enrolled in the class but their email is different or incorrect so when they say "forgot" password they are not receiving an email to reset it.

 

Removing by deleting the student from the class and then sending a new "invitation" will go to the correct email but when they "accept" the invitation it shows the old "incorrect" email so unable to log in again.  

 

Seem confusing.

Question:  How can we move that original incorrect student information from Canvas or does it take a few days to actually "purge"?
