Speedgrader Screen Capture: Looking for software/hardware/OS requirements for this feature

The screen capture record button in Speedgrader isn't visible on some of my devices, and I'm trying to find a list of software/hardware/OS requirements for this feature. 

For background:

I've moved to using screen capture (Studio Media) recordings in Speedgrader when I'm providing feedback on longer papers that students will revise again. It's been working great on my desktop at home and work laptop, but I'm looking for a smaller and lighter device that I can take to academic conferences and still get some grading done while I'm there. 

I started testing this on other devices, like a Chromebook and iPad, and the recording icon doesn't appear on either device. For the iPad, I tested Chrome and Safari and used "request desktop site" for both. I also have an old (and slow) Surface Pro I was considering loading with a light/fast Linux distro, but after these two other tests, I'm not sure the screen recording would work on that device either. 

I'm hoping there's a list of requirements somewhere so I can see what devices I can and cannot use this feature on before I invest any more time or money into getting a device that's better for travel than my heavy work laptop.

If you go to the How do I record a webcam video, screen capture, or... - Instructure Community - 606356  support article, it says at the top: If you access Canvas using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your web browser, you can record a webcam video, audio, or screen capture as a comment on student submissions in SpeedGrader.

If you are not see it, I would recommend that you contact either your school's Canvas team or Canvas Support directly.
