Hello,
I'm setting up courses for online learning. We don't have set term dates so I'm not sure how to set course durations without putting in actual dates.
Basically, we want students to only have access to the online course for 6 months from the date of enrolment (which can be any day of the year).
Can someone advise how to go about this?
Thanks!

Hi @Carmen25 - there is a relatively new feature called Course Pacing which I think is what you are referring to. However, this would need to be enabled in your Canvas instance. Check this out: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Course-Pacing-Feature-Preview/How-do-I-use-Course-Pacing/ta-p/539...

Hi @Hildi_Pardo, thanks for your response. I've had a bit of a look at course pacing and it isn't quite what I'm after. Course pacing still relies on course start and end dates but we won't have end dates set. We also don't want to set due dates on individual tasks within the course. Just a blanket "students can access this course for 6 months from the date of enrolment".
Do you know if there is a way to do this? I'm thinking the answer is no.
Thanks!
Hi, I’m Zoe, a Sr PM for Canvas. We are looking for teachers who use Course Pacing in Canvas OR who have thoughts on differentiated instruction and related Canvas features.
