ReAssign Button in SpeedGrader for Discussions

Hello! An instructor I work with would like to REassign a discussion using the REassign button in Canvas discussion however, the button doesn't seem to appear. I checked in other instances and course spaces I'm in and it doesn't appear when availability dates aren't set, it doesn't appear even if a comment has been left and it doesn't appear after a grade and comment have been submitted by the instructor. I'm starting to this that REassign just doesn't function for discussions. Is this true?

@mrh5080  As detailed in the blue information box of  How do I reassign an assignment in SpeedGrader?, the Reassign functionality is not available for discussions. The information box in the lesson also lists the other exceptions and parameters.

Is there any chance that a Reassign button could be added for discussions?  I find that functionality very useful, and I'd like to have it for discussion assignments as well as other assignments, when I am asking students to add to their discussion postings.

I echo this! A Reassign button for discussions would be useful for my faculty.

I agree, a reassign button would be helpful for those who have incomplete discussion posts.
