Unfortunately, the gradebook doesn't give me information about last activity and total activity. I want to alert parents that their students aren't even *trying* to do the work, because they're not even logging into Canvas.
I wish the scripting for exporting data were a bit easier, more like SQL. (I've tried automating grade reports with additional information like due dates, which aren't included in the Gradebook, so I can automate sending of status letters to students and parents, but got stymied by the peculiar structure of the data tables.) I know that there's a scripting language, and it looks like I could probably do what I want with some custom web pages, but our District IT department won't provide any support for the authentication keys, etc. that I would need to do that.
