Pop-up home page information tray

I would like to have a pop-up tray the that appears on the  home page as soon as participants enter my course. It could be edited on a daily basis and provide links to relevant content. This may be a due assignment, a talk or page within a module or a Padlet. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I don't think this is possible within the Canvas interface.  Why not add a few announcements to the top of your "Home" page so that students see those right away when they log into your course?

How do I show recent announcements in the Course Home Page?

Would this work instead for your needs?
