In my experience, that sometimes happens if you are not using a compatible version of a supported web browser.

Hi, this does happen sometimes, I think the most likely issue is due to some temporary internet files or cache issue, which you may need to clear, see here: Solved: [ARCHIVED] What to do when Canvas looks 'big' or '... - Instructure Community - 270158
The process may depend on your browser. sometimes just a control + shift + F5 may work, but if not please see instructions for some common browsers in the link above, or else search for instructions on clearing cookies and other site data on your browser.
if it helps my browser is safari

Safari in general is compatible with Canvas (please see my link in a different reply) but it needs to be at least version 17.
