whenever I open my canvas it shows a giant unloaded graphic

Hi, this does happen sometimes, I think the most likely issue is due to some temporary internet files or cache issue, which you may need to clear, see here: Solved: [ARCHIVED] What to do when Canvas looks 'big' or '... - Instructure Community - 270158

The process may depend on your browser. sometimes just a control + shift + F5 may work, but if not please see instructions for some common browsers in the link above, or else search for instructions on clearing cookies and other site data on your browser.

Safari in general is compatible with Canvas (please see my link in a different reply) but it needs to be at least version 17.

It does. Can you try following the instructions below, to delete cookies and other website data from the Canvas instance for your institution?

I've cleared all of my cookies multiple times, still not working

1. updating your web browser (which might require updating your operating system)
2. trying a different web browser

I see, the original link that I posted above ( Solved: [ARCHIVED] What to do when Canvas looks 'big' or '... - Instructure Community - 270158 ) recommends deleting the history for Safari instead of cookies and other website data, could you try that?

I don't know why it would work, so if you're wary of deleting all your history without knowing if it will work, I'd suggest trying to access Canvas using a private window (or incognito mode) first. If it works, then given that clearing cookies and other data didn't help, then deleting history may be the way to go...

In my experience, that sometimes happens if you are not using a compatible version of a supported web browser.
