Observer Profile

It seems like the observer role in Canvas is very basic but maybe I'm not finding it correctly. Here is what I'm picturing and not sure if it exists (YET).

1. Observer logs onto Canvas.
2. Sees a list of their children.
3. They can easily see their children's grades, upcoming assignments, and feedback from teachers.
   • Kind of like a progress report, but can be updated whenever, and not at the end of a grading period and doesn't require a report to run.

Does this exist and I'm missing it?

Yes, the observer role exists, and from what you've said above that's pretty much what an Observer account would be used for.
