how to edit the images used in the module tiles on the course overview/homepage?

Go into that course, then go to "Settings" on the left.

Under "Course Details" you will see an image. Click on the 3 dots, and select "Chose Image."

That will definitely work to change the course image that appears on the tiles of folks' Canvas dashboard! 

But it sounds like @LKV, the course you are looking at did some unique customization of their course homepage and built in images/tiles that will redirect you to a specific module? They would have done this through editing the HTML of the course homepage, or using an external design tool to build their Canvas pages. Unfortunately these aren't built right into Canvas, so you will want to reach out to whomever created the page you are referring to and find out how exactly they built that page and how to change those images.

Hi @LKV ,

It sounds as though you are referring to a Page within the course, not the course tile on the Canvas dashboard.

Has the course been shared with you as a template? Templates often contain a Module with the resources used to create the Module along with instructions for making edits. You also can look in the Files of the course to find the images that were used (and possibly instructions). In order to edit the images, you will need to go into editing mode for that page and replace the images with your own choices. Be aware of image dimensions and resolution.
