Making the Syllabus page visible to students

I am able to edit the Syllabus page, but not given the option to make it available/public. How do I do that?

Have you ensured that the "Syllabus" page is visible to your students (so that it does not have the crossed-out eye icon next to it on your left-hand course navigation menu)?  Review How do I manage Course Navigation links? if you need to enable the "Syllabus" button within your course.

I reviewed this page and tried making the syllabus visible, but the crossed out eye icon does not change. 

I am able to change visibility for other pages and modules, but cannot for this. Is this something that can be disabled by my institution?

Do you have any content created to display on your Syllabus page?  Or, when you go to edit the Syllabus page, is the RCE (Rich Content Editor) currently blank?

Yes. I have content. I just figured it out. It was disabled in my course settings. I had to make it visible there.
