As we all know, exam security is an issue when helping students review exams. That said, is there a way for me to pull a list of the questions a student answered incorrectly? For example, Jeff Lebowski missed questions 2, 9, 10, 23, 49, and 42. FYI, I review performance via hard copies.
Appreciate any help on this. I tried pulling the Student Analysis .csv, and converting to Excel, but could not generate a pivot table with this information (missed questions aren't numbered). I'm really trying to avoid going through SpeedGrader for every single student.
Thank you,
Nathan

Are all of the questions in the quiz automatically graded? If so, you may be able to set up a column in your spreadsheet that is the answer key. You could then use a formula to compare the student answers to the key and gather a count of instances where the results do not match. It's not ideal, but it would work. Maybe this is something they can build into the Student Analysis for New Quizzes. You should submit this as a Feature Idea.
You can see each student's quiz responses and whether they're correct in the Speedgrader. To access it, you can go to Grades, find the quiz column and click on the three dots at the top of the column, next to the quiz's name, and click Speedgrader. You can also see similar data in quiz statistics, which you can access from Quizzes. Click on the relevant quiz, then click on Quiz Statistics at the top right. You may also want to download the Student Analysis or Item Analysis.
Thank you, dijoyork. I am familiar with SpeedGrader and the student and item analytics, but my goal is to either: 1) paste the items they missed in the feedback box (Missed Questions:1, 2, 7, 24, 38), or 2) print a a hard copy of the items they missed (e.g., 1, 2, 7, 24, 38) so that I can review the exam with them. With SpeedGrader, I would have to scroll through each student (x66) and then enter each item missed into the feedback box. With Student Analysis, I can't make a pivot table because questions aren't numbered. That said, it would be great if Canvas offered a feature, in analytics or SpeedGrader, that just lists the numbers that the student missed. This would allow me to review the exam with the class without phones or the ability to take screenshots. Does anyone know if this is an option? If not, can Canvas build this in? I'm drowning in exam reviews.
With gratitude,
N
