LTI: Mixing Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365

Hello,

We have institution-wide memberships of both Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365. Hence, all instructors and students have access to the Google and MS Office cloud products. Since both also offer good LTI's for Canvas, we actually can integrate both.

Now some students only use Workspace, whereas others only use Office 365, and very few use both. As instructor I feel unconfortable with enforcing Workspace users to switch to Office 365. or vice versa.

Hence my question:

If I (instructor) use Google Workspace LTI for setting up assignments, is it then possible for students to submit an Office 365 file? And of course, how about the other way around?

A more general question:
what are the pros and cons of having both, Workspace and Office 365, integrated into Canvas?

Plus, with google workspace cloud backup and Microsoft Office 365's robust suite of tools, you've got a solid foundation to work with.
