Suggestion: create a second check box on the module for each page (to the left of the 'published' check box) to indicate whether it is to be included in the sync to SIS action
It is exceedingly laborious and tedious to go into, edit and change EACH page, times each module times each quarter. If there were check boxes on the main module page, it would make things infinitely more streamlined.
Hello @barrdodds_judy ...
Unfortunately, you've posted this in the area of the Canvas Community to ask questions. Submitting your ideas for Instructure to possibly incorporate/implement into Canvas has a different space here in the Community. It used to be called Feature Ideas, but now it is called Ideas and Themes. Here is a link to the Guides that will tell you all about Ideas and Themes:
Community - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
This is where you can go to submit a new idea:
Canvas Ideas - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
Hopefully these links will be of some help to you. Please let Community members know if you have any questions about this...thanks!
Hi @barrdodds_judy ,
I want to make sure you're aware you can do this on the Assignments page; you don't have to edit EACH assignment. Click on Assignments on the menu, and you will be able to click just such an icon next to each assignment you want to sync. It's not as convenient as Modules because the assignments aren't nicely in order, but it is another option. (Same process with the Quizzes tab and the Discussions tab if they are graded Discussions, but I think these also show up on the Assignments page.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to point this out, but that's the problem - a solution that isn't a solution. This isn't aimed at you at all. It's aimed at the developers: Canvas is responsive to suggestions, but I don't actually see the changes. Often, very good suggestions sink into the ethersphere (sp?) without any official comment or action. It might be helpful to listen to those that actually use the software 🙂 Seems to me...
Trying to hunt/peck the specific assignments that need sync'd out of the vast array of assignments and quizzes is a futile activity. You would need to keep two tabs open and rove back and forth looking for the names of assignments. Not a solution
@barrdodds_judy ...
For clarification...nothing has been marked as a "Solution" in this topic as of right now. If someone were to mark it as a "Solution", a green border would appear around the response, and a copy of that response would display directly below your original question at the top of the screen. Of course, if you feel that something is not a solution, you can always remove that indicator. I think @TrishaMeyer1 was trying to offer another option for you...which might work for other who may come across this topic, too.

I'm not sure if you visit the Community site much, but recently the space that was formerly called Feature Ideas was renamed to Ideas and Themes...with some additional changes on how the voting (giving a star rating) system works. I think these two recent blog posts (from Tara at Instructure) try to address some of the concerns you mention:
Also, here is a link to a handful of Guides related to the Ideas and Themes space:
Anyway...I wanted to provide you with this information...for what it's worth. Hopefully this will help to clarify some things. Sing out if you have any questions...thanks! Take care...be well.
